Earn Money With Blogging Blog

Using The SEO Powers of Blogs to Reach #1 Spots in Google

May 28th, 2007

When you start your blog, you want to make sure everything is right. When I say everything, I mean that your categories should be well thought out, your URL should be SEO friendly, and your titles should be SEO friendly. These three aspects of blogs have a significant effect on your ranking in search engines. The reason for this is because search engines use these factors when they decide where your site should rank when people do searches.

Your URL is an important portion of your SEO efforts because it will be your main key word phrase. You want to pick on that is searched at least 1000 times a month. You can use a more competitive word or phrase but it depends on how quickly you want to rank.

Your blogs Categories are another important SEO factor because they are the inner links of your site. When you think of a blog, you think of the column that contains the categories of your site. They are text links and we know that these effect search engine ranking. You want to make them specific so search engines can rank the pages they link to using the key words you use for them. For example, use a key word phrase like, “brazilian dog toys” as your category text so that the general category page can be found in search engines. You can also create links pointing to that page using various methods.

Finally, you should pay attention to the titles of your page. These are a large portion of why your page will rank. You should target low competition phrases in your titles so you can rank well for all of them. These titles are found on the main page of your blog and link to the permenant page of your blog where your article lays.

Putting all of this together you will notice that these 3 factors help your blogs SEO. Your URL will have 2 phrase you are targeting; your main, more competitive phrase, as well as your smaller post title URL. You will also have that article on a page being linked to by your category page using a key word rich text link.

If you create links to your post page using the anchor text of the article title, you will reach the #1 spot in DAYS, yes DAYS, not weeks or months.

Web 2.0 - Using Graphics and Blogs To Increase Sales

May 10th, 2007

Web 2.0 is taking over the internet these days. You may have heard of this term before. The exact meaning of this phrase may be describing the new standard of graphics, the way people use the internet (more interactivity like myspace), or it could just be some kind of catch phrase to try and get people to buy more interesting products.

In any case, you have probably noticed that more and more people have switched to faster connections with even faster computers. This means that webmasters have the freedom to increase the loading times on their pages with fancier graphics. These graphics are more dynamic, they use lighting, shadowing, glowing, and more. All these effects astound many people, including me. If I was still a beginner I would probably have more trouble saying “no” to many of the offers I see daily.

When I see amazing graphics on a sales page, even if I don’t want to buy, I look at all of it anyway. I am a sucker for shiny things. Then it hit me, these “shiny things” really hypnotize people into buying what the site sells. Surfing the net, I see all sorts of offers, but the ones that really stand out are the ones that have amazing graphics, so I assume they raise the conversion of the page.

In addition to amazing graphics, web 2.0 also refers to blogs and other social communities. If you are an internet marketer and you don’t have a blog. you are missing out on a great marketing tool. Blogs are easy to use, they are SEO friendly, and they allow for community with their commenting function.

If you place a few web 2.0 graphics on a blog, you would be joining the new generation of the internet and internet marketing. Being the last one to finally convert those old plain sites into new futuristic sites would surely hinder your ability to earn income online!
