Using Articles To Create Long lasting Positive Effects On Your SEO Efforts

Thursday, September 28th, 2006

Let’s get right down to it. We all know that what you need to successfully take a website is to create links to your site. Your website is an empty vessel and it needs to be filled with useful information. In addition to this, you need to be able to find it online, and that is why you are getting those links back to your site. This is the reason why you slave to get to the top of search results. The great part is that all the strategies that you use to get to the top are all ways of increasing traffic as well.

You think you are conducting some forum of search engine optimization, but in addition to that, you are producing traffic and increasing links which then, in turn, increases your page rank and alexa ranking. Theses 2 things are key to selling ad space, and I will talk about them as well because they are a very strange and wonderful little tid-bit in the world of internet marketing.

Article distribution, one of the many strategies for increasing links to your site is a marvel to all website owners. You may think nothing is happening; 1 day goes by and you have 1 stray visitor; 2 days go by and nobody visits your site. This is the worst feeling in the world unless you have experience in this field and know how long this process takes.

Article distribution is a slow going strategy that takes many months to jump into full effect. You will not see the results you are looking for at least 3-6 months. Search engines take a long time to win over if you are looking to be at the top of very competitive key words and if you are continually getting links to your site, you will see the advantage of article distribution.

When those articles you write, go into that article directory, they are seen by many different web masters and they are all looking for content for there sites. Article directory content is not the best, but it is good and they will take it because it is free and people will enjoy reading them. Your article will probably be picked up by a site that is just starting. At first you think that that is worthless because that site has less page rank and content then your but then you should realize that that site will grow with yours and that webmaster will increase the links to his/her site. In time, there site will become a large continent filled site with high PR and a link pointing right at yours.

So, when you think about article distribution, think long term positive effects that will help your site gain traffic and much more. If you want quick, instant traffic, try pay per click. If you can wait for the results and even save the money since article distribution is free, then distribute those articles.

A More Direct Approach

Tuesday, September 26th, 2006

I have just written about this before, but I want to talk about it some more and  I think it should be placed in this article distribution section. Article distribution is a well known method of getting one way links to your site.

Did you every think about the fact that those articles you are writing are being penalized by search engines because of duplicate content. For this reason, getting articles from article directories is not as good writing your own articles in addition to the fact that they have a link on the bottom of them.

To fix this problem you can offer a website that you want a link on an article that is found nowhere else. This will assure them that it is a good deal and they will get good quality original content added to there site.

Article Distribution Software and Services - Duplicate Contnet?

Thursday, September 21st, 2006

If you have any experience in writing and distributing articles, you know how hard it is to have to manually go from site to site to distribute articles. For this reason, there are products and services that help speed up the process of having to submit articles to many different directories.

There are some people who say that duplicate content is bad and submitting your articles to so many places is not good, but that is not true. What is true is that MSN and YAHOO are more likely to index more  of your articles that are duplicated through this process. Google will only take about 1 article from the directory and the rest have to come from being on a real site.

The reason why people think like this is because you have many copies of thame article all over the net and they think that this will deter search engines. It is true that the links on those pages will not be indexed but they are still beneficial.

The only good reason to use article distribution software or services to blast articles is to be able to show your articles to many different webmasters all over the net. The real value of the articles come in from the 1 way links from real sites.
