Blogging and Social Bookmarking For Maximum Traffic
Social bookmarking is one the best ways of generating traffic and creating a community around your blog. Your goal is to create a blog that is the authority on the subject. Their are probably many other bloggers out their writing about the same topic as you and you want to get in on that as well. To compete with them we are going to use a little elbow grease, some social bookmarking, and watch as the traffic comes flowing to your blog.
Here are 3 steps you can take to destroy your competition:
1. Write the best article you can about your subject. What I mean is, make sure to create an article that everybody in the world just has to read. Think like a reporter. What kind of titles do people use to draw a crowed and grab eyeballs. If you need help finding ideas search through digg.com’s home page and see the articles that have been voted for the most.
2. Submit your articles to as many social bookmarking sites as you can find. This is the way you are going to generate links and traffic to your site. The links come free from every person’s profile page when they vote for your article, and the traffic will come when your article reaches the first page of those social bookmarmking sites. The amount of social bookmarking sites you want to submit your article to is up to you. I usually use only 5 or 6 for my best articles and I don’t bookmark all my articles.
3. Repeat the process. Make sure to try again if you fail to reach your traffic goals. Social bookmarking is great, but the visitors are interested in the article, not your blog…yet. You need to increase your exposure by writing amazing content over and over again. Remember, never give up and watch the traffic flow to your site.

Those are good tips. I am slowly coming around to using Web 2.0 tactics. At first, I didn’t want to believe articles could generate traffic to my sites but I’m a believer now. I use Artemis Pro (not an affiliate link, I’m just a fan) because it submits to my own list of sites accepting submissions.

Social bookmarking seems to be transforming the Internet - it’s very interesting to see where it goes.
I just came across your blog researching information on starting a blog and Internet marketing - I actually came across this site after looking through some of James Brausch’s stuff (http://www.JamesBrausch.com).
Reading your blog has been quite helpful I must say. Will you be updating it more often?

James Brausch has created a new program that will help gather more business for your website. The program, Glyphius, takes the google headline you create for your website and scores it against similar websites based on successfulness. After the initial scoring, you can then change your headline to make it as successful as possible. Glyphius will then score your headline again against your competitors. This is truly and amazing product.
