This is Obviously a search engine and not a regular tool that you would find in a site that provides search engine optimiation tools but this is one of the better tools if you know how to use them. This is one tool that I used to use the most while I was starting out and when I was too cheap to spend my money to get real tools. I used to go on goole and find all the information I needed.

 The first thing that google can help you with is to see all the sites that are competing against you for a key phrase. You can see the number of sites and you can see what the sites are that are competing for that key word/phrase. You can also click on the sites you want to see and look at all the sites and what they do so that you can copy what they do and the words they use in there copy.

The next service that can be provided from this tool is that you can see the adword campagin tactics that are being used at the time. This is useful if you plan on using adwords because you can see how many people are paying for the key words and you can see howe the top site is worded.

Lastly you can see the sites that are linking to a certain site by typing in “link:www.name.com” and see all the site that link to a certain site. This is very important to the people who are looking to do some seo on there site. This helps to see the sites that are linking to the sites so that you can link from them as well and beat them to the punch.
