This is Obviously a search engine and not a regular tool that you would find in a site that provides search engine optimiation tools but this is one of the better tools if you know how to use them. This is one tool that I used to use the most while I was starting out and when I was too cheap to spend my money to get real tools. I used to go on goole and find all the information I needed.

 The first thing that google can help you with is to see all the sites that are competing against you for a key phrase. You can see the number of sites and you can see what the sites are that are competing for that key word/phrase. You can also click on the sites you want to see and look at all the sites and what they do so that you can copy what they do and the words they use in there copy.

The next service that can be provided from this tool is that you can see the adword campagin tactics that are being used at the time. This is useful if you plan on using adwords because you can see how many people are paying for the key words and you can see howe the top site is worded.

Lastly you can see the sites that are linking to a certain site by typing in “link:www.name.com” and see all the site that link to a certain site. This is very important to the people who are looking to do some seo on there site. This helps to see the sites that are linking to the sites so that you can link from them as well and beat them to the punch.

1. www.Inventory.overture.com- This is a great tools that I use before I even start my website. What it does is it searches for all the searches of a key word that you input. It gives you the number of times that the key word has been searched in yahoo in the past  month. This is a useful tool because it also shows all words related to that general key word and it allows you to see all the phrases with the most and least searches done.  You can use this tool to see which words you want to optimize for so can be sure that optimizing for a phrase will acutally give you good traffic.

You think you are conducting some forum of search engine optimization, but in addition to that, you are producing traffic and increasing links which then, in turn, increases your page rank and alexa ranking. Theses 2 things are key to selling ad space, and I will talk about them as well because they are a very strange and wonderful little tid-bit in the world of internet marketing.

Article distribution, one of the many strategies for increasing links to your site is a marvel to all website owners. You may think nothing is happening; 1 day goes by and you have 1 stray visitor; 2 days go by and nobody visits your site. This is the worst feeling in the world unless you have experience in this field and know how long this process takes. 

Article distribution is a slow going strategy that takes many months to jump into full effect. You will not see the results you are looking for at least 3-6 months. In time, there site will become a large continent filled site with high PR and a link pointing right at yours.

So, when you think about article distribution, think long term positive effects that will help your site gain traffic and much more. If you want quick, instant traffic, try pay per click. If you can wait for the results and even save the money since article distribution is free, then distribute those articles.
